Material characteristics of PVC edge banding:
Ingredients: Polyvinyl chloride (including plasticizer). Advantages: Low cost, rich colors (can imitate wood grain and stone grain), good flexibility. Disadvantages: Poor temperature resistance (easily deformed above 60 ℃), chlorine containing elements (releasing hydrogen chloride during combustion). Processing technology: EVA hot melt adhesive is often used for edge sealing, with obvious glue lines and easy moisture and glue cracking. Durability: prone to aging and yellowing (UV sensitive), brittle at low temperatures (prone to cracking in northern winter). Environmental friendliness: Contains plasticizers (possibly phthalates), low-end products have VOC release risks. Price: The market price is about 5-15 yuan/meter (mainstream domestic), while imported brands (such as Germany's Doken) are about 20-40 yuan/meter. Applicable scenarios: Ordinary cabinets with limited budget, short-term use or non humid environments (such as bedroom wardrobes).
